Situated in a secluded wooded area , this property is located only one mile from Whiteface Mountain and the famous AuSable River. The home offers guests 3500 sq ft with a traditional Adirondack style, with many rustic elements incorporated into a contemporary design. These include features such as an open floor plan with 30 foot cathedral ceilings in the living room and in-floor radiant heating, wood burning fireplace, granite counter tops, hardwood flooring, and log railings.

Space

The main floor will offer ample space with a living room, dining room, kitchen and a 2 bedrooms. The 2nd floor offers a master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. The basement provides a 4th bedroom with a bunk bed and queen bed and an additional full bathroom. Enjoy a full size billiards table, ping pong table along with a Microsoft Xbox for entertainment. The backyard offers a 6 person hot tub along with a fire pit and separate seating area.

Access

The entire home and the property with 2 exclusions:
1. The mechanical room located in the basement by the Adirondack table. The door is locked and monitored by a security camera from the inside of the mechanical room. This is to ensure that guests do not tamper with the hot water tank, boiler, electric system, and supplies used by the cleaning agency. Any unlawful entry into this room will automatically revoke your stay at the property.
2. There is 1 closet located between the main floor bathroom and the 2nd bedroom that is locked for use by the cleaning agency.

Neighborhood

Wilmington is home to the highest peak slope that you can ski on in the North East. It is also the 5th highest mountain in NY State standing at 4,865 ft above sea level. There are over 46 mountains that have an elevation above 4000 ft. for those who have a passion for hiking. The beauty of the Adirondacks offers year round outdoor adventures for those who love to cycle, hike, fish, and ski. The Au Sable National Scenic River stretches 23-miles offering brown, rainbow, and brook trout. There are numerous nearby lakes and rivers (such as Saranac river and Taylor Pond) that offer landlocked salmon, lake trout, splake, bass, pike, walleye, perch, and sunfish. Lake Placid is our neighboring town that is home to the Olympic center and many local restaurants along with 2 lakes that offer motorized and non motorized sports during the summer.

Notes

1. Price advertised per night allows up to 12 guests. Each additional guest will be charged at $50 per night per guest.
2. Holiday weeks require minimum of a 6 night stay and Summer weeks require a minimum of a 5 night stay.
3. Any unauthorized parties that may cause damage to the property or interruption to neighbors caused by noise pollution will incur additional fees deducted from the security deposit.
4. Any odor inside the home (including the garage) of smoking cessation products such as nicotine, vape, THC, Marijuana will incur additional fees deducted from the security deposit.
5. A $500 refundable security deposit must be collected within 72 hours of the booking.
6. Do not move any furniture inside the home.
7. Do no remove or take any of the items located inside the home. The home is inspected after each use. A replacement fee and labor charges will be assessed towards missing items and will be deducted from your security deposit.

   products, wipes or waste paper. Please only flush toilet paper.
* When using the Electric Fireplace in the outside den. Please shutoff after 
   each use.
* After each use of the Hot Tub please secure cover on top.
* Please remove shoes/boots when entering the home.
* No underage drinking or parties.

Everything I was looking for and needed for my family of 11 during our weekend trip to Ausable Chasm. Our stay was 30 minutes away but we wanted a place fairly close considering we were driving 7 hours to get to Ausable Chasm. Plenty of room for all of us and plenty of things for the kids. The kids/teens loved the ping pong table and pool downstairs and the Xbox with game pass was cool to have. The small options of board games and puzzles were also clutch. The 3 tv’s we used (there was a 4th in master bedroom but we did not even turn it on because no remote) all had Netflix and Disney + already signed in under a default account which was convenient as we were able to just turn on and watch. The sonos sound bar allowed for great sound and we were able to connect with phone with app and play music. Hot tub in back was awesome! Felt so relaxing after our hike. Also, love have the 2 car garage. I was able to park my Tesla inside and charge it with no problems. Would absolutely stay again

Overall great stay. Just little stuff that weren't so great. The good: Hot tub was amazing; super warm and clean. Laundry machines & shoe dryers are available. Great dining areas (indoor & patio). Lots of entertainment. Amazing & responsive host. Near plenty of attractions & stores (<30min) The not-so-good: Towels and cookware/utensils could use a bit of maintenance/cleaning. Would recommend bringing your own cookware if you're doing a lot of cooking for the trip, BUT the available tools are enough for light cooking. Cabin is definitely much better suited for winter; almost all the window screens have holes for bugs to get in, so we couldn't open them up to cool the cabin down (no A/C here), so we were pretty toasty during our summer trip. Hot tub was amazing; super warm and clean. We had some minor mishaps in the cabin during our trip, but the host was super responsive and proactive! Overall great space for WINTER and plenty of amenities, just needs a bit of maintenance.

What a fantastic find! The house was just beautiful and perfect for our 3 family ski trip! We typically don't spend this much on our yearly weekend rental, but this was WAY worth it! 5 minute drive to Whiteface, 5 minute drive to the restaurant for pizza/wing pickup, and super quiet and secluded property. The basement was the BEST if you have children (big or small!). Our 6 kids stayed down there almost the entire time we were in the house. Lots to keep them occupied. We cooked a fantastic dinner and enjoyed the large dining table that sat all 12 of us. I am glad we brought our own cast iron cookware, because pots and pans were limited to cook for a large group. Would have liked to have built a fire outside in the pit after skiing, but we were not prepared with wood, & it didn't look like it's been used in the winter. The garage was huge- held all of our ski gear and coolers. The host responded in a timely manner. DO NOT LOOK ANY FURTHER if these things are important to you!
